Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Note: this policy describes what Taskora's code actually does today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before Taskora is used to process real user data at scale.

Who we are

Taskora is a marketplace connecting students and freelancers in Pakistan with companies for short, paid work, operated by Avenex Technologies, which is registered with Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). This policy explains what we collect through the Taskora website and dashboards, why, and what you can do about it. Contact us at taskora.site@gmail.com.

Accounts and profiles

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, a hashed password (never the password itself), your role (freelancer or company), and a short statement of why you want to join, which an admin reviews before your account can log in. Freelancers may add a photo, title, bio, hourly rate, location, links, skills, and past projects. Companies may add a logo, website, industry, size, and location. All of this is used to run the marketplace.

Sessions and cookies

Signing in sets one httpOnly session cookie. Continuing with Google sign-in shares your name and email from Google's Identity Services with us; it can only sign in to an existing, already-approved account, it never creates one or bypasses admin approval.

Taskora uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used. This sets first-party cookies in your browser.

Analytics

Google Analytics collects, for every page you visit: the page itself, roughly how long you stayed, the device and browser you're using, an approximate location derived from your IP address (city-level at most), and which site or link brought you here. We use this to understand what's working on the site and to fix what isn't. You can opt out in your browser without losing access to any feature of Taskora.

Jobs, applications, and escrow

Job posts, proposals, cover letters, and milestone terms are stored to run the hiring flow. A job's budget sits in escrow; Taskora releases payout to a freelancer's bank account or wallet (including JazzCash) only once a company accepts delivered work. We store enough transaction detail to run and audit this payout, not full banking credentials beyond what a payout requires.

Uploaded files and submitted work

Attachments (a CV, a job brief, a delivered file) are stored with Cloudinary, our file hosting provider. When a freelancer submits work for AI evaluation, the submitted text and files may be sent to Google's Gemini and, for text-only checks, Groq, so the evaluator can generate a report. The AI's report is advisory: whether to accept delivered work is always a human decision by the company.

Messaging

Chat messages between a freelancer and a company are stored so both sides can see their conversation history and so disputes can be reviewed with full context.

Skill verification exams

Taskora's skill assessments are timed and proctored to keep an awarded badge meaningful. During an exam we record paste and tab-blur signals to flag attempts that may not reflect your own work; these integrity counts are visible only to admins. Submitted answers, code, and viva responses are stored to support the badge and, if flagged, an admin review.

Data retention & Your rights

We keep account, job, application, and message data for as long as your account is active. If you want your account and its data deleted, contact us and we will remove what we can while keeping the minimum record legally or operationally necessary.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or ask us what we hold about you, by emailing taskora.site@gmail.com.
